Seattle, Washington March 22, 2013 – Compustar, makers of car remote start and security systems, has released Computech 3.0, an extensive database of vehicle specific wiring schemes and installation tips for authorized Compustar installers. Computech 3.0 will go live on Tuesday, April 2 at 9am PST, when thousands of installers across North America will gain access to the new website.
Computech 3.0, upon release, will feature wiring schematics data on over 18,000 vehicles. Additional features and resources will include installation tips for Compustar, DroneMobile, and Compustar’s line of expediter products, FTX. In all, Computech 3.0 provides an additional gateway for the company to connect to its North American retailers and installers.
Compustar retailers can contact their regional distributor or sales representative to receive their Computech 3.0 membership cards; one for each installer. Each of these membership cards has a serial number that is worth a credit for a 1-year membership to Computech 3.0. At expiration, installers will be required to register a new serial number that will renew their membership.
In the creation of Computech 3.0, Compustar teamed up with InstallerNet to create a comprehensive solution and interface for Compustar installers. It leverages the MAID content and includes Compustar proprietary information. “We have been working with the Compustar team over the past year to develop the most comprehensive technical support solution for this industry” stated Tim Armstrong, InstallerNet’s Chief Technology Officer.
Future additions to Computech 3.0 will include smartphone compatibility and a growing database of vehicles. Computech developer and support specialist Tanner Wilson shares, “Flexibility is one of the key ingredients of Computech 3.0. We want to make it easy for installers to find tech tips and wiring info on their computers, smartphones, or tablets.”
